Purpose

An employee with a full-time equivalent (FTE) of 0.5 or greater shall be granted funeral leave, with pay, in accordance with this policy.

Policy

An employee shall be allowed funeral leave with pay for attendance to funeral matters.

1) An employee shall be allowed funeral leave up to five working days for the death of:

    Purpose

    Temporary Disability Leave (TDL) is available for regular employees with a full-time equivalent (FTE) of 0.5 or greater. It is the intent of this policy to provide leave for employees who have an illness or injury which prevents them from performing their jobs on a temporary basis, or to care for eligible family members within the guidelines of this policy.

    Recognizing the occurrence(s) of serious health conditions which involve either the University employee or a qualified family member, the University provides unpaid family or medical leave of up to twelve (12) weeks in a twelve (12) month period.

    Recognizing the occurrence(s) of serious health conditions which involve either the University employee or a qualified family member, the University provides unpaid Family Medical leave of up to 12 weeks in a 12 month period.

    Policy

    1) Any employee who has been a University employee for 12 months and has worked at least 1,250 hours during the previous 12 month period may take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave for a serious health condition involving the employee or a qualified family member during any 12 month period for any or all of the following reasons:

    87.1 Policy
      Regular full-time and half-time staff employees who have accrued a minimum of sixty-six (66) days of temporary disability leave have a conversion option for extra vacation leave or credit toward retirement. It is the intention of this policy and its entitlements to reward loyal, long-time employees who remain healthy as well as to encourage employees to use temporary disability leave only when necessary.
