National Slam the Scam Day is designated by the Social Security’s Office of the Inspector General to raise awareness of government imposter scams, which continue to spread across the United States. Slam the Scam Day is Thursday, March 6, 2025, as part of National Consumer Protection Week, which takes place this year from March 2-8.

What to do after receiving a critical diagnosis

After you or a loved one receives a critical diagnosis, including but not limited to Alzheimer’s or any other type of dementia, your world will feel upside down. Shock, anger, fear and grief are all common emotions. Give yourself time and space to work through it and process the news. There is no right or wrong way to react; everyone will respond differently. As the shock wears off you will start thinking about what’s next.
