Policy

 

Any staff employee who is called for jury duty shall be granted time off to fulfill this responsibility.

Any regular full-time or half-time staff employee will be granted time off with pay for such leave.

    72.1 Policy
      72.1.1 Any employee, who is eligible to vote in national, state, or local elections, is encouraged to exercise voting privileges. Work schedules will normally permit adequate time for an employee to exercise the voting privilege, either before or after normal working hours. However, in cases where voting cannot be accomplished in off-duty hours, the University shall grant time off to vote, on election days with consideration of provisions of KRS 118.035(2) as follows:

    Purpose

    Any employee, who is eligible to vote in national, state or local elections, is encouraged to exercise those voting privileges. Work schedules normally permit adequate time for an employee to vote, either before or after normal working hours.

    Policy

    Normal operations of the University (except the University Hospital) and the Lexington Community College (L.C.C.) may be curtailed by declaration of the President of the University, or designee. Normal operations may be curtailed for unusual conditions such as severe weather, fuel shortages, or other calamities.
