Policy

 

The University of Kentucky recognizes the advantage of employing members of the family of current employees. However, although relatives are permitted to work in the same area, limitations have been defined in the second paragraph of Part X.A of the GoverningRegulations, as follows:

    Purpose

    The University recognizes the advantage of employing members of family of current employees. Employment includes regular, temporary, student work-study and graduate assistant programs.

    Policy

    Relatives are permitted to work in the same area with the following limitations.

    1) Members of the Board of Trustees, except those elected to the Board as faculty, staff or student, and relatives of any member of the Board are ineligible for employment at the University.

    2) No relative of the President shall be employed at the University.

    Circumstances may arise wherein a staff employee desires employment, for whatever reason, in addition to University employment. The University allows the staff employee's other employment as long as the staff employee adheres to the following guidelines:
