Adjust your schedule

You may be able to set your regular schedule earlier, later or compress your work week.

Flex time on occasion

Take appointments as long as you make up your missed work time within the same week.

Reduced hours options

Reduce your hours for a season

Working less during summer and winter while keeping benefits may be an option.

Take seasonal unpaid leave

Full-week increments of leave during defined summer and winter periods may be possible.

Phase into retirement

Explore easing into retirement by reducing hours over time.

Phase back to full-time from leave

After extended leave for any reason, including childbirth, you could return part-time at first.

Am I ready?” Your child will need different support based on their age, grade level and ability to get into the school groove. Annual period for employees to convert temporary disability leave to vacation leave now available through April 30

The annual period for University of Kentucky employees to convert their temporary disability leave (TDL) to additional vacation leave (VL) is now available through April 30.   Employees may request conversion of TDL hours to additional vacation leave through Employee Self Service in myUK. Employees should log into myUK, access Employee Self Service and select Working Time and Leave Requests.

How to make a hybrid option work for everyone

The year 2020 made us all rethink how we work, and what we consider a work location. Some people who never considered remote work found themselves suddenly transitioned into a remote work or hybrid work location status. Others continued to work on site under new circumstances and restrictions.
