Guide to Retirement Planning at UK

Our annual retirement planning conference, which takes place in person on campus, moved online this year. In addition to sharing online presentations, we also created this guide to retirement planning. While there is no right age to retire, we recommend starting to understand all the factors related to the retirement decision around age 55+. We mailed a print version of this guide to employees age 55 and over this fall.

FSA grace period extended through 2020 plus more relief

Unused funds stay through year-end, next year's health care rollover amount increases, plus newly eligible expenses In an announcement from the IRS shared on May 12, 2020, the IRS Notice 2020-29 allowed employers to provide relief for employees with flexible spending accounts that experienced disruption due to COVID-19. For example, employees who set aside money in their FSA for a scheduled surgery could not spend it because “nonessential” medical services were postponed.
