Awesome Inc Week of Code
Cost: $470
What if your child spent their summer learning to make apps instead of playing them? This four-day camp, designed for 9- to 16-year-old students, introduces the fundamentals of coding. Students will create websites, mobile apps, and video games, all while having fun with our energetic team.
By the end of the week, each student will have built at least one web page, app, and video game using programming languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and technologies like iOS, Android and Construct. The camp is kept small to ensure everyone gets focused attention and learns at their own pace.

This camp is geared to riders with no to very little riding experience. We will have two riders assigned to a horse, as partners and they will learn the beginnings of English riding and other details of what horse ownership entails. Campers will ride every day and learn some entry-level horse husbandry skills and other fun activities. Helmets will be provided. Campers may only sign up for one session per summer. There is no lunchtime, so campers should eat before or after their sessions.

Bluegrass Tennis Association (BTA) is partnering with Lexington Parks & Recreation to run a Tennis & Swim Camp for junior tennis players ages 6-14. Each session will include foundational tennis skills as well as educational components that will build character and confidence. We utilize the sport of tennis to promote health and wellness, and social and emotional skill development. In combination with tennis programs, children learn teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making. Lessons are designed to engage children in meaningful and fun tennis activities that translate both on and off the tennis court.

The Daytrippers Therapeutic Recreation Camp is an indoor and outdoor summer experience specifically designed for adults, ages 20 and up, who have a physical, intellectual or other disability. Activities could include swimming, crafts, community engagement, volunteering, field trips, games and more. Camp ratios will be one staff member per one – five campers. Individuals that need one on one support for personal care, behavioral needs, etc., will need to provide their own support personnel during the program. Support personnel will not be charged to attend.

This free summer opportunity offers children a unique chance to improve their communication skills through interactive activities led by speech language pathology graduate students and a licensed speech language pathologist. This intensive program provides two 45-minute sessions per week for four weeks, fostering speech and language growth in a fun and supportive environment.

UK Summer Dance Intensive
Cost: Intensive Tuition is $625 for 2025 including a non-refundable summer operating fee. Limit 35 students. Optional Housing is 5 nights, Sunday-Thursday, $47 per night with linens provided, and $37 per night if you bring your own linens. Students can buy meals in the cafeteria and/or in the student center. Students staying in the dorm will have dinner provided on Sunday night.

Classes take place 9 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. each day of the intensive with breaks between classes and a break for lunch.
If participants choose to stay in the dorms, each night there will be a variety of supervised evening activities. All classes will be in the Fine Arts Building. Two UK dance majors will be serving as resident assistants and helpers during the intensive. They will accompany all groups with minors during the intensive.

Camp Kern runs weeklong programs, checking in on Sunday and checking out on Fridays. Camp Kern runs from June 1st to August 1st.
