Newton's Attic STEM Day Camps
Cost: $245 to $365 for a half-day week and double that for a full-day week.
UK faculty and staff are exempt from the early drop fee and may drop as early as 7:30 a.m. and pick up as late as 5 p.m. without an extra charge.
Day camps are offered on a week-by-week basis throughout the summer following the Fayette County Schools calendar on week-by-week basis, Monday through Friday, June 3rd - August 9th 2024, including an overnight Outdoor Engineering & Field Skills option for 7th - 10th graders the week of July 29th.
Morning sessions run 8:30 a.m. to noon and afternoon sessions run 1-4:30 p.m. Lunch is supervised, so two half-days camps can always be combined to make a full day. There is a half-hour grace period on either end of the day with no charge for drop-off starting at 8 a.m. and pickup until 5 p.m. Typically, there is a $5 per 15 minute per child charge for drop off before 8 a.m. or pickup after 5 p.m., but UK faculty and staff are exempt from the early drop fee and may drop at 7:30 a.m. without an extra charge.

Newton’s Attic offers a variety of week-long, hands-on, project-based STEM day camps in robotics, coding, chemistry, and pre-engineering in the areas of mechanical and electrical systems and aerospace for 1st - 10th graders. Special Needs Camp of Kentucky Inc.

SNCKI is a 501C3 nonprofit organization that hosts a free week-long summer day camp for individuals with intellectual disabilities in Kentucky. We also host events for our campers throughout the year. Campers are youth and adults who have been diagnosed with an intellectual disability such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other intellectual disabilities.

The Academy Gymnastics and Cheerleading

We offer four types of camps, the children choose a "theme" each day. We off Gymnastics, cheerleading, Farm , and All Sports!
Gymnastics Camp:
This camp is for those kids who have a desire to learn all aspects of Gymnastics. Children are broken up into groups based on age and ability, and there is instruction in all aspects/events of Gymnastics. We work on Floor, Bars, Balance Beam, Vault, Conditioning, Strength, Flexibility, and overall improvements of the skills.
Cheerleading Camp:
This camp is for those kids who have a desire to learn all aspects of Cheerleading. Children are broken up into groups based on age and ability, and there is instruction in all aspects/events of Cheerleading. They will learn Tumbling, Stunting, Sideline and Floor Cheers, Routine, Jumps, Motions, and more.
ALL Sports Camp:
This camp is for those kids who have a desire to learn and play a variety of sports. Children are broken up into groups based on age and ability, and there is instruction in all aspects/events of Multiple Sports. They will learn the rules, play skills, technique, and further knowledge of a multitude of sports such as Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Football, Gymnastics, Track and Field events, and more. We meet with the kids on Monday morning and discuss with the children the sports they are interested in learning more about, and playing and those chosen sports are what we make sure to cover during the week. We teach these sports in a way that everyone can be successful, while getting a better understanding of all sports.
Farm Day Camp:
We will transport them from our Gym in Lexington.
This camp will be a true “Day on the Farm”…. We will hike, Play in the waterfall, Take care of the animals with grooming and feeding, Ride horses, Build a bonfire, Ride 4 wheelers, do projects on the farm, and more…..plenty of fun to be had on the farm!
Our camps begin June 3 through August 9. Basically all dates that Fayette County schools are out for the summer.

Early hours are available from 7:30 a.m. for an extra charge of $50 for the week

The UK Youth Day Camp brings together the idea of having fun and learning the different technical and tactical aspects of soccer. Day Camp is geared for the younger player looking to develop his skills at any level. We will focus on helping you develop in areas of the game like passing/receiving, finishing, dribbling and defending. Campers will also get to play many small-sided games throughout the day. The Full Day Camp will include lunch and added summer activities along with additional soccer training. We hope to see you this summer for a fun and challenging week of soccer!
