Key benefits: Lower out-of-pocket costs such as deductibles, co-pays and co-insurance; flexibility to see any provider in Anthem’s nationwide network
Considerations: Higher monthly premiums in exchange for lower costs when you receive care and greater network flexibility
UK’s PPO plan offers greater flexibility to choose providers from UK HealthCare or Anthem’s nationwide network. UK HealthCare facilities and providers offer lower costs when you’re on the PPO plan.
The PPO plan also offers low out-of-pocket costs, including:
- Deductible (the amount you must pay before insurance begins covering a share of costs)
- Co-pays (a flat fee you pay when you receive a health care service)
- Co-insurance (a percentage of the cost you pay when you receive a health care service)
