UK Retail Pharmacies still an option for getting prescriptions by mail

As of July 1, 2025, UK HMO members may choose to fill maintenance medication prescriptions through UK Retail Pharmacies, which offer free home delivery on most prescriptions, OR Express Scripts Home Delivery. A recent letter from Express Scripts to some UK HMO members that said only Express Scripts may be used was incorrect. If you have questions or concerns about your medications and which pharmacies are in network, please contact KYRx (UK Pharmacy Benefit Department) at 859-218-5979 or kyrx@uky.edu.

UK HMO members: Transfer your prescriptions early

Beginning July 1, 2025, UK Retail Pharmacies will be the exclusive pharmacy for all HMO members. This means you will need to transfer your prescriptions to a UK Retail Pharmacy location. Please transfer your prescriptions now to eliminate any delays when the new plan year begins July 1. To transfer your prescriptions, fill out this form. If do not need to refill your prescriptions, please fill out the transfer form and select the option that says “not ready for refills.”
