For retirees under 65, health insurance rates depend on your plan, if you’re working, your original hire date and when you became eligible to retire.

Working retirees under 65 may only be eligible for discounted health insurance rates for one year. For the 2025-26 fiscal year, UK will no longer offer the EPO and RHP plans. If you are a member of one these plans, you can still use UK's PPO health insurance plan. UK retail pharmacies is also now the exclusive pharmacy for HMO members. If you're 65 or over, then you're eligible for our Medicare Advantage plan.

Annual period for employees to convert temporary disability leave to vacation leave now available through April 30

The annual period for University of Kentucky employees to convert their temporary disability leave (TDL) to additional vacation leave (VL) is now available through April 30.   Employees may request conversion of TDL hours to additional vacation leave through Employee Self Service in myUK. Employees should log into myUK, access Employee Self Service and select Working Time and Leave Requests.
