Wildcat Check-in Week Supporting Campus Mental Health

As part of Wildcat Check-in Week, we invite students, faculty and staff to join us for a Remembrance Ceremony honoring those lost to suicide. This gathering offers a peaceful space for reflection through inclusive readings, gentle movement and simple acts of remembrance around a heart-shaped display of memorial flags.

The ceremony will feature welcoming remarks and spiritual support facilitated by UK Religious and Spiritual Life and UKHC Pastoral Care.

Create a memorial flag:
On Wednesday, April 8, students, faculty and staff may create a memorial flag during Fresh Check Day. These flags will serve as the focal point of the ceremony on Friday, April 10 and remain on display throughout the week. Opportunities to create a flag will also be available before the ceremony.

We invite you to join us in honoring and remembering loved ones lost to suicide, and to stand together in compassion, support and hope.
