Thank you for visiting Big Blue Family Care, a child- and/or pet-care referral service for University of Kentucky Employees only. Please answer the questions below to help us determine if we have referrals for your childcare and/or pet care request. Please keep in mind that this service works BEST as a scheduled, occasional, part-time childcare and/or pet care option, such as after school, nights, and weekends. Our child and pet care providers are University of Kentucky students that have been screened, including a completed background check. We do not suggest Big Blue Family Care as an emergency or last-minute care option. The Work-Life team makes referrals during normal UK operating hours (not holidays), Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm. We recommend you submit your request 1 to 2 weeks in advance. Right now, we are accepting requests for child and pet care requests through December 2026.
