HR Benefits to host annual retirement conference, Sept. 15-30
University of Kentucky employees considering retirement soon, or who just want information on retirement planning, are invited to attend retirement conference events from UK Human Resources during September.
“The retirement series is a valuable opportunity for employees nearing retirement to learn more about retirement income, health insurance and overall well-being,” said Gail Carbol, HR director of benefits. “Employees want a clear understanding of retirement eligibility, the process and the costs of their insurance.”
The retirement conference is also a great way to learn about benefits available after retirement, how to continue working at UK after retirement and how to navigate life in retirement.
The retirement conference is Sept. 15-30. The sessions for the conference are as follows:
- Tuesday, Sept. 15: Social Security update and retiree health benefits – available in person at the Gatton Student Center Harris Ballroom or via livestream.
- The Social Security presentation will not be recorded.
- Wednesday, Sept. 16: Set your retirement date: Understand the factors to help get you to your goal with TIAA
- Thursday, Sept. 17: Working with STEPS after retirement
- Wednesday, Sept. 23: A GPS for your financial journey with CAPTRUST
- Thursday, Sept. 24: Maximize Social Security in your retirement strategy with Fidelity
- Tuesday, Sept. 29: New passions for lifelong learning with UK Office for Lifelong Learning
- Wednesday, Sept. 30: Preparing emotionally for life's next chapter with UK HR Work-Life and Well-Being
