What is Leadership Grow?
Leadership Grow is an in-person immersive, cohort-based development experience designed for leaders who are ready to deepen their impact. Through a blend of large-group learning, small-group collaboration, and real-world application, participants strengthen the skills that matter most—building relationships, developing people, communicating with confidence and connecting daily work to strategic goals.
This program creates a supportive learning community where leaders challenge assumptions, practice new behaviors, and gain fresh perspectives from peers across the organization. Whether early-stage or experienced, participants leave with a clearer leadership brand, stronger partnerships, and practical tools they can apply immediately to help their teams thrive.
Leadership Grow equips leaders not just to improve—but to elevate how they influence, inspire, and drive results.
Who should sign Up for Leadership Grow?
Leadership Grow is for a broad range of leaders across the university—from front-line supervisors with a couple of years of leadership experience to directors who are firmly established in their leadership journey but want to continue to grow their skills. A key benefit of this program is the opportunity to learn alongside individuals with a range of leadership experience, representing many different areas of the university.
To ensure the most impactful experience for participants, registrants should have a minimum of two years of leadership experience (either inside or outside of UK). Additionally, participants are required to attend at least five of six total sessions to successfully complete the program.
How is Leadership Grow conducted?
Leadership Grow is conducted in person across six consecutive weeks (one session per week). Each session is 2.5 hours and involves participative learning, small- and large-group discussion, and practical application. All sessions are at 2317 Alumni Park Plaza in Lexington.
What topics are included in Leadership Grow?
Leadership Grow includes an engaging set of leadership topics that apply to all levels of leadership. All 2026 cohorts will experience the following courses. Full course descriptions and learning objectives are available upon request.
