  1. Walk around the block, the yard, a trail or any other outdoor venue for 5 minutes to warm up. 
  1. Go to the curb or step and do step-ups. Alternating your lead foot, do 3 sets of 10 reps. 
  1. Find a tree or other vertical surface and do wall push-ups. Do 3 sets of 10 reps.  
  1. Heavy rocks or flower pots are great for weights - find the best weight for you and do squats. Do 3 sets of 10 reps..  
  1. Face away from a bench or other horizontal surface, rest your hands on it, and dip down, working your triceps. Do 3 sets of 10 reps.  
  1. Use branches or monkey bars to do inverted rows (think assisted pull-ups). Do 3 sets of 10 reps..  
  1. Standing on a level surface like a sidewalk, driveway or trail, do lunges, alternating legs. Do 3 sets of 10 reps.  
  1. Finally, sit on the grass for some good ol'-fashioned crunches. Do 3 sets of 10 reps. 

Summer workouts can be a nice change of pace from the gym. Enjoy the benefits of being outside and being active at the same time!
