Accidental death and dismemberment insurance provides a benefit to you or your beneficiary if you are seriously injured or die in an accident. If you purchase coverage for yourself plus children, your children’s benefit will be 15% of your coverage amount, up to $15,000. For employee + spouse/sponsored dependent coverage, your spouse or sponsored dependent benefit will be 50% of your coverage amount. On the employee + family plan, your spouse or sponsored dependent benefit will be 50% and the child benefit is 10%.
