Friendships can be one of the most rewarding, and sometimes most challenging, parts of growing up for autistic children. In this engaging 45-minute presentation, caregivers will learn how autism can influence social communication, friendship development, and peer relationships. We'll explore common social challenges, discuss ways to support social growth without changing who a child is, and share practical strategies for fostering meaningful connections at home, school, and in the community. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of their child's unique social strengths and tools to help friendships flourish.
