This presentation will help home-based caregivers focus on the remaining strengths, abilities, interests, and identity of a loved one living with dementia. We’ll explore how to offer meaningful opportunities in ways that make sense to the individual, using the 12 Montessori Principles as a guide for communication and interaction rooted in dignity, equality, and respect. 

Presenter: Stacey Flint who has been applying Montessori methods in memory care since 2014 and was Director the world’s first Montessori Inspired Lifestyle® Gold Credentialed community. She has since led successful implementation across multiple states, achieving Gold Credential status in four communities while developing programming, training systems, and Montessori-based marketing strategies. Today, Stacey serves as a Montessori Training Consultant with Center for Applied Research in Dementia, training and supporting senior living organizations throughout North America.
