Work-Life workshop on caring for the self at work: Trauma-informed tools for resilience
Join us to discuss the importance of maintaining emotional wellness and how work and life issues can impact you as a person. As much as we work to compartmentalize our personal and work lives, it can be difficult to quiet down the stress response in our bodies when we are going through difficult times in our lives, or when we encounter or re-experience life traumas.
Drawing on research and techniques developed by leading trauma researchers and therapists such as Bessel van der Kolk, Pat Ogden, and Daniel Siegel, this presentation will adapt insights and evidence-based interventions from the field to the workplace. The goal of the presentation is to introduce resources that can be applied in the service of caring for our bodies and minds in the workplace.
