Led by Mark Filburn

Mark Filburn serves as the Chief of Ambulatory Services at the University of Kentucky, where he acts as a senior enterprise administrator. In this role, he partners with the Ambulatory Services Triad and senior enterprise leaders to shape the strategic direction and operational imperatives of the university’s ambulatory operations. His responsibilities include leading initiatives to improve ambulatory access, drive operational performance, and ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards are met across all outpatient services.

Mark plays a critical role in developing and maintaining an effective organizational structure that supports accountability, operational excellence, and the successful execution of strategic goals. He is also responsible for business planning and building the infrastructure necessary for sustainable and optimal ambulatory operations.

He holds both a Master of Science degree and a Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing. Mark is a Fellow in the Association of Cancer Executives and has earned multiple professional accolades. Deeply committed to service, he has held leadership roles on various community and national boards, including the American Cancer Society and the Association of Cancer Executives.
