Join us for an engaging and empowering Green Dot workshop designed to equip you with practical tools to help prevent violence and contribute to a culture of respect and care. Green Dot is a nationally recognized, evidence-based strategy focused on the power of individual actions to foster a safer and more supportive community.


In this interactive session, participants will:

  • Explore how small, proactive choices can interrupt harmful behaviors
  • Build skills to promote a culture of safety and accountability in everyday situations

Led by Fadyia Lowe

Fadyia Lowe is a first-generation college graduate with a B.A. in Corporate Communication (2004) and an M.S. in Health Promotion (2006), both from the University of Kentucky. She began her career at UK’s University Health Service, where she helped establish a comprehensive, evidence-based health education program and played a key role in launching the university’s Tobacco-Free Campus initiative. A Certified Health Education Specialist and Tobacco Treatment Specialist, Fadyia provided direct support to students through counseling and nicotine replacement therapy. In July 2024, she joined UK’s Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) Center as Associate Director of Prevention. In this role, she leads efforts to prevent violence and promote student well-being. She is also a certified Green Dot trainer, equipping the campus community with tools to safely intervene and prevent power-based personal violence.
