Elder care workshop on a walk through dementia

A Walk-Through Dementia, the British Virtual Reality app developed by Alzheimer’s Research United Kingdom provides caregivers an immersive experience allowing them to have a deeper understanding of what living with dementia is like.  

Virtual Reality (VR) is often associated as a platform for gamers, but VR can be used as a learning tool. Via Zoom, together, we will watch 3 short scenarios as seen through the eyes of someone with dementia. After each scenario Carla will lead a discussion as to how we can better help and support our loved one living with dementia. 

The 3 scenarios are:

• At the supermarket
• Walking home
• At home
