CAREERS

Radical self-acceptance (RSA) is the practice of being warm and open to all parts of ourselves, our sources of pride, joy and achievement, and the parts of ourselves that are hurting, failing or unsure of our basic worthiness. It’s the hard practice of accepting ourselves just as we are. RSA enhances psychological well-being and strengthens our resilience.

This three-part workshop focuses on developing warmth and acceptance for ourselves through the application of psychologist and meditation teacher Tara Brach’s RAIN self-compassion technique; through understanding imposter syndrome and adaptive responses to it as outlined by psychologist
Lisa Orbé-Austin; and through mapping a radical self-care approach to our personal and professional lives.

In addition to learning Brach’s RAIN technique, UK HR Health and Wellness therapist Eric Wilkinson, LCSW will guide participants as they complete a life journey map, critically identify their core values in this stage of their lives and create a holistic radical self-care blueprint.

The three workshop sessions will take place via Zoom on the final three Thursdays of July 2024.
