Spending time outside is good for your physical and mental health. It can lead to a greater overall sense of well-being. So does walking. Done together, the benefits can be even bigger!



UK HR Health and Wellness invites you to join us in the Step Into Nature Challenge.



In this combination challenge, you can focus on steps, spending time outside or both.



Here are the goals:



Steps: Set an average daily step goal at the beginning of the challenge, ranging from 6,000 to 10,000 steps.

Nature: Spend at least 20 minutes outside on 12 of the 14 challenge days.



You will keep track of both in the free MoveSpring app. Be sure to sync your wearable device at least every 72 hours and log each day you spend outside for 20 or more minutes.



You will also find tips, articles, audio and more in the app!



Are there prizes for completing the Step Into Nature Challenge?

Yes! Complete the step or nature goal, and you will receive an outdoor essentials kit with products to keep you safe in the sun.



Complete both goals, and you will receive the outdoor essentials kit and be entered to win one of three Fujifilm Instax Mini camera kits.



How do I participate?

  1. To sign up, log in to your UK HR Health and Wellness Dashboard using your linkblue ID and password. You can sign up until June 2 at 11:59 p.m.
  2. Click the green “Join Challenge” button on this page. Keep this page open in your browser – you may need the details.
  3. If you are new to MoveSpring, use the organization code on the challenge page to create your account. If you already have a MoveSpring account, log into it with your email and password.
  4. You should be added to the challenge automatically. If you don't, click the “+ Join Challenge” button and select the “Step Into Nature” challenge.
  5. If you don't already have the MoveSpring app on your phone, download it from your phone’s app store. Log in with the account information you just created. June 1-14, sync your steps and log your experience in nature each day in the mobile app.​​​​​​​
