This workshop is for anyone seeking to better understand autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Join us for an overview of ASD, available therapies and treatments, intervention options and tips for supporting children and families living with ASD. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain. The diversity of the disability means that each person's individual experience of autism and needs for supports and services can vary widely.

GUEST SPEAKERS:

-Dr. Megan Carter, APRN, DNP, Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Kentucky Children's Hospital, Department of Pediatrics

-Melanie Tyner-Wilson, Autism Advocate, Member of the Autism Society of the Bluegrass
