CAREERS

Adhering to a medication schedule is important not only for your loved one’s safety but for their overall long-term health and well-being. Seniors are at the highest risk for being hospitalized due to medication mishaps. According to the CDC, 1.3 million Americans visit an emergency room each year for adverse drug reactions.  Aging issues such as loss of mobility, reduced dexterity, memory challenges, poor eyesight, confusing packaging and dangerous interactions with other medications or foods are the most common reasons for emergency care. Because 40% of seniors take at least five different medications on a regular basis, it is easy for a mishap to occur.
