Alzheimer’s Disease: Past & Present Perspectives

Dr. Frederick Schmitt, Sanders- Brown Center on Aging, Professor - Department of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, Behavioral Science and Psychology

Dr. Schmitt, with the UK Sanders-Brown Center on Aging, will be with us to talk about the signs, symptoms and treatments of Alzheimer’s disease. He will discuss the changes that occur in the brain and how those changes affect the person diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the history of this disease, from its earliest reports through current treatments, with an expert in the field. We will leave time for questions at the end.
