Though it seems counterintuitive, two emotions can be true at the same time. For example, we may have hope for the future and at the same time feel grief and exhaustion from the last year of the pandemic. Recognizing and growing our capacity to know that the two are not mutually exclusive is one of the most powerful practices we can use to increase our resilience.
