University of Kentucky employees could find themselves $50 richer soon.  

In October, KY Saves 529 will give $50 to the first 150 employees who open an account and set up payroll direct deposit.

KY Saves 529 is a Section 529 plan offered by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Ascensus College Savings Recordkeeping Services, LLC serves as the program manager. The Program Manager and its affiliates have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations including investment advisory, recordkeeping and administrative services.  

The $50 bonus is limited to the first 150 accounts opened in October. Employees must set up payroll direct deposit to be eligible. There is no promo code or anything else required. Employees simply go to www.ky529.com, open an account and set up direct deposit.
