University of Kentucky employees could find themselves $50 richer soon.

In October, KY Saves 529 will give $50 to the first 150 employees who open an account and set up payroll direct deposit.

KY Saves 529 is designed to help individuals and families save for college in a tax-advantaged way and offers valuable advantages including tax-deferred growth, generous contribution limits, attractive investment options and professional investment management. Learn more about the promotion here.

There will also be three webinars in October discussing the KY Saves 529 plan. Register for those webinars here.

The Program Manager and its affiliates have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations including investment advisory, recordkeeping and administrative services.

The $50 bonus is limited to the first 150 accounts opened in October. Employees must set up payroll direct deposit to be eligible. There is no promo code or anything else required. Employees simply go to, open an account and set up direct deposit.
