The University of Kentucky Human Resources Unemployment Department (HR UE) is responsible for responding to claims, attending hearings as required, and providing other services related to unemployment. Unemployment benefits are for employees who have experienced loss of work due to work not available or reduction in force. The State of Kentucky decides if unemployment benefits are paid according to state rules and laws.

For Managers and Supervisors

HR Unemployment staff will contact managers and supervisors when or if additional information is needed to represent UK in correspondence and for hearings. If managers or supervisors receive inquiries, please refer callers to the HR UE Office.
