The Elephant in the Room: Talking with Our Loved Ones About Death

Kristi Yahn, Provider Liaison, and Chaplain Diane Munoz  - Bluegrass Care Navigators

Many of us have a difficult time talking to, or being around, a loved one that is close to death. How do you start a conversation? What do you say?  There are many reasons that we feel uncomfortable. Some people are not able to face their own mortality, others have feelings of guilt over their past relationship with that person, some people fear the intense emotional feelings that come with death and others regret they may not be able to be with their loved one in their final days. So how do we overcome this fear and bridge the divide between our loved one and ourselves?  Please join us for this very important discussion.
