University New Employee Orientation
We're excited about sharing the mission of the University of Kentucky!
All
employees hired into regular positions are required to attend University New Employee Orientation. It is highly recommended that you attend this orientation on your first day on the job. During this session, you will receive information pertaining to your benefits, University policies, and an overview of campus.

If you wish to turn in Employee Benefits forms (healthcare, accident or voluntary insurance, etc.) during Orientation, you will need to bring your Social Security Numbers, birth dates, and addresses for all dependents and beneficiaries.
If you have not yet applied for a parking permit or not yet completed your I-9 process, you may finalize them during Orientation.
I-9 is a federal form establishing eligibility for employment. UK Employment requires this form on or before the first day of employment. It establishes your start date and establishes entry into the payroll system. In order to complete the I-9 form, you must have an original, non laminated Social Security Card or passport and one other form of picture identification such as a driver's license, military ID card, etc. If you do not have these documents, please go to the following web link which lists other acceptable documents at I-9.
Parking Permits are required to park on UK's campus. You may apply for a UK parking permit at the beginning of orientation from 7:45am to 8:00am. To complete this application you need to know your vehicle's make, model, and license number. You will also need to know your departmental address and have your job assignment posted in the SAP system so that Parking can 1) verify employment status, 2) establish eligibility for payroll deduction for the permits, 3) ascertain eligibility to purchase monthly permits, and 4) establish eligibility for pre-tax consideration for permit fees.
Orientation Parking
Employees without an E parking pass will be able to park at the Boone Center during University New Hire Orientation. At the end of Orientation, employees will be required to move their car to another location.
In order to accommodate all employees attending the University New Hire Orientation and regular Boone Center guests, employees with an E parking pass should continue to park at their designated E parking lot while attending University New Hire Orientation. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
To locate the Boone Center, or any other building on campus, please view the campus map.
Dress Code
The dress code at the Boone Center is business casual. However, an exception will be made for those employees required to wear scrubs or a work uniform to their respective workplaces. Feel free to bring a jacket or sweater as the temperature setting is not always pleasing to everyone who attends.
