Experienced Leader Academy

Everything rises and falls on leadership. Based on the books of John C. Maxwell, this leadership series is designed to encourage and support experienced managers to continue to maximize their leadership potential.

Who Should Attend
Experienced leaders (managers and directors) who want to grow and develop their skills and abilities as leaders in the context of a structured discussion, self-study and peer support.

Curriculum:
Leaders will meet for 1 ½ hours once every week to focus on the following issues. Challenging work, readings, and personal assessments are assigned to be completed before class. Faithful attendance and thoughtful participation in discussion is expected. The agenda below outlines each week's topic of discussion.

September 17, 2014 Session 2 -The key to leadership is priorities
September 24, 2014 Session 3 - The most important ingredient of leadership is integrity
October 1, 2014 Session 4 -The ultimate test of leadership is creating positive change
October 8, 2014 Session 5 -The quickest way to gain leadership is problem solving
October 15, 2014 Session 6 - The extra plus in leadership is attitude
October 22, 2014 Session 7 - Developing your most appreciable asset: people
October 29, 2014 Session 8 - The indispensable quality of leadership is vision
November 5, 2014 Session 9 - The price tag of leadership is self-discipline
November 12, 2014 Session 10 - The most important lesson of leadership is staff development

Investment
Each developing leader will be provided John C. Maxwell's Developing the Leader Within You and Developing the Leader Within You Workbook. When scheduled, the class sessions will be held weekly from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at 220 Scovell Hall, Suite 1.  Lunch will be provided. The cost of this course including materials will be approximately $175.00 for the entire 11 weeks.
