HTML 1: Basic Coding

Prerequisite skills: Basic familiarity with a computer mouse, keyboard, Web browsing techniques and the Windows XP operating system.

Designed for the beginner, this course covers using HTML to create a basic web page format, ordered and unordered lists, and various types of links (links to other documents, links within the same page, and e-mail links). Plenty of "hands-on" exercises are provided to build an actual web page.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • Create a basic HTML page
  • Use opening and closing tags
  • Format text on a Web page
  • Insert headings and comments
  • Create an ordered list and unordered list
  • Insert a link to another document
  • Insert a link to an email address
