Proposal Development Office
This class will provide an overview of the proposal development support available to faculty and staff through the UK Proposal Development Office (PDO). Speakers will discuss the following services: PDO’s subject mailing lists and dissemination of funding opportunity announcements; funding searches for specific topics; identification of potential UK collaborators and assistance in forming multidisciplinary teams for proposal submissions; proposal review and editing; descriptions of institutional resources for proposal narratives; grant-related workshops; and agency contacts, guidelines or application materials. Session will include a demonstration of the Community of Science Funding Opportunities™ database and web-based PDO service requests.
