Consulting & Facilitation
HR T&D offers specific, customized help to individuals, departments and colleges.
For individuals, assessments and customized individual career and professional development coaching is available. For groups facing performance improvement issues, HR T&D consults on specific challenges and partners with departments in reaching satisfactory solutions.
Facilitators are available to lead retreats for university departments or units. Retreats can be facilitated on or off-campus for half-day session, full day session or a two day session. The three categories of retreat offerings are Motivational, Personal, and Organizational.
Motivational, Personal, Organizational Retreats
Retreats held for motivational purposes focus on excitement, inspiration and entertainment. Topics offered include Courageous Followers, FISH!, and Team Building.
Retreats focused on personal development topics with ideas and techniques for self-improvement. Topics offered include Business Etiquette, Developing a Winning Image, Personality Differences, and 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
Organizational retreats may be focused on organizational topics and are highly customized to the requesting unit's need and goals for the time. Facilitators meet with the stakeholders to understand the unit's expected outcomes. Some topics that may be
facilitated are Strategic Planning, Identifying Your Department's Brand or Identity, Building Trust in the Department, and Problem Solving.
Facilitation
Occasionally a department or unit needs help in meeting their objectives through a neutral, structured process. Facilitators help group members to clearly define and reach their goals. Facilitators are also available to help with such issues as FMLA, Diversity, Time Management, Corrective Actions, and other topics.
